Write the decision first
Decide what you need to learn or do: find a broken link, organise a publishing schedule or understand which pages lead to enquiries. A tool should support that decision. A dashboard with many charts is not automatically a useful answer.
Try a bounded example
Use a small, non-sensitive sample and record what the tool produces. Check whether the output can be exported and understood by someone else on the team. Note what requires interpretation instead of treating every score as a verdict.
Account for ongoing work
Consider setup, review time, permissions, renewal and offboarding. Someone should own the account and understand what data it receives. Keep only tools with a clear role in the working process.
