HOSTRAT / THE WEBSITE FIELD GUIDE

Search & content

Keep the promise consistent across channels.

Make a small content and ownership plan for the profiles that point people toward your website.

01

Choose a useful destination

Decide which website page belongs behind each profile link. A contact profile may need a service or enquiry page, while a publication may use a topic index. Keep the destination relevant to what the profile says.

02

Record who can maintain it

Keep account ownership and recovery arrangements with your business records. Use the platform’s supported team-access features where available. Do not share passwords through a content calendar or project brief.

03

Review the information together

Check names, contact details, availability and links across the website and active profiles. Remove obsolete claims rather than carrying them into a new design. A smaller set of current profiles is easier to maintain than a long list nobody owns.
